Let the Namibia Scientific Society take you into the magnificent Zambezi region where you can immerse yourself in the magic of this natural wonderland. Enjoy the bus ride through different Namibian landscapes and get spoilt in the comfort of the beautiful lodges.
The focal points of this trip are the history, the different cultures and, of course, the natural biodiversity of the Zambezi region. Visit sites such as the Grootfontein Museum, the mission station Andara and the cultural villages of the Khwe San and Mafwe tribes. Also, observe the wildlife in the various parks in open vehicles and enjoy sundowner excursions on the Kavango and Zambezi rivers.
OPTIONAL EXCURSION: a day visit to the world-renowned Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe! Day trip includes round trip transfers, breakfast, lunch and entrance fee to Victoria Falls. Foreign citizens with Permanent Residence must pay a Visa fee of US$30 per person to enter Zimbabwe.

Friday, 2nd June
Roy's Rest Camp (Dinner and Breakfast)
Travel to Grootfontein. Visit Grootfontein Museum. Dinner under the stars.
Saturday, 3rd June
Divava Okavango Resort & Spa (Dinner and Breakfast)
Travel to Divundu. Stop at Niangana for historical talks. Afternoon sundowner cruise on the Kavango river.
Sunday, 4th June
Divava Okavango Resort & Spa (Dinner and Breakfast)
Visit Andara missionary station with open vehicles of Divava Lodge. Afternoon game drive in the Mahangu National Park in our vehicle.
Monday, 5th June
Divava Okavango Resort & Spa (Dinner and Breakfast)
Early morning game drive in Buffalo Park in open game drive vehicles. Afternoon at leisure or guests have the option of booking activities or Spa treatments with the lodge.
Tuesday, 6th June
Namushasha River Lodge (Dinner and Breakfast)
Visit the Khwe San village in Bwabwata. Afternoon open vehicle game drive with sundowner.
Wednesday, 7th June
Namushasha River Lodge (Dinner and Breakfast)
Visit a Mafwe traditional village in the later morning. Rest of the day is at leisure; guests can relax or book optional activities with the lodge.
Thursday 8th June
Zambezi Mubala Lodge (Dinner and Breakfast)
Travel to Katima Mulilo via Mudumu National Park. Visit a traditional fish market in Katima and enjoy a boat cruise on the Zambezi River with sundowner in the late afternoon.
Friday, 9th June
Zambezi Mubala Lodge (Dinner and Breakfast)
Guests that have booked the optional Victoria Falls excursion will be picked up in the early morning and return in the late afternoon. Guests that did not book the excursion have the day at leisure and can enjoy optional activities with the lodge.
Saturday, 10th June
Hakusembe River Lodge (Dinner and Breakfast)
Travel via Kongola and the Bwabwata national park to Rundu.
Sunday, 11th June
Guest Farm Ghaub (Dinner and Breakfast)
Morning cruise on the Kavango River. Travel towards Otavi, afternoon historical tour of Ghaub Guestfarm and a braai to round off the trip.
Monday, 12th June
End of Tour
Breakfast
Travel back to Windhoek.
Minimum 13 participants, maximum 20 (depending on room occupancy). The bus is provided by Sense of Africa. The tour guide is Armin Jagdhuber and local guides will provide information at the various destinations.

- Sense of Africa provides passenger liability insurance and emergency medical evacuation coverage. Emergency medical evacuation covers evacuation to the nearest hospital but does not cover medical costs incurred. Guests accordingly are advised to take out adequate insurance coverage for medical treatments and any further emergency transportation costs.
