Astro News April 2025
- 28 March 2025
April offers a dazzling sky, with Mercury and Venus gracing the early morning hours, and Mars shining brightly in the evening. Jupiter is visible but sets earlier as it moves toward solar conjunction. On April 5, the Moon and Mars will have a close approach, visible to the naked eye from Windhoek, and on April 13, Omega Centauri will reach its highest point, perfect for binoculars. This month’s constellation, Leo, is home to the bright star Regulus and the legendary Nemean lion, defeated by Heracles. April is a great time to step outside and enjoy the cosmic show!
