Jupiter steals the evening show, shining bright from sunset until the early hours, while Mercury, Venus, and Mars remain hidden near the Sun. A solar eclipse on 17 February will grace Antarctica and the southern Indian Ocean, and excitement builds for NASA’s historic Artemis II mission, set to send humans around the Moon for the first time since 1972. February’s constellation spotlight is Auriga the Charioteer, home to brilliant Capella and best viewed high in the sky around 9 pm.
