The Science of Gobabeb helps power a NASA Mission to the Outer Solar System

In collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Namibia, we are pleased to invite you to a public lecture by internationally renowned planetary scientist Professor Jani Radebaugh. Returning to Namibia after her World Space Week presentation in October 2025, Professor Radebaugh will share the latest developments from NASA's Dragonfly mission to Saturn's moon Titan.
As member of the NASA Dragonfly Science Team, Professor Radebaugh, will share how recent research conducted in the Namib Desert is directly contributing to one of NASA's most ambitious planetary exploration missions, including insights from a major field campaign involving 40 scientists and engineers.

Biography of Prof. Jani Radebaugh:
Jani Radebaugh is a professor of Geological Sciences at Brigham Young University and a member of the NASA Dragonfly Science Team. Her research uses Earth's extreme environments as analogues for other planetary bodies, and she has participated in multiple Antarctic meteorite expeditions with NASA's Antarctic Search for Meteorites (ANSMET) program.
