Atlas of Namibia

This Atlas has been realised with support from Biodiversity Management and Climate Change (BMCC) and Climate Change and Inclusive Use of Natural Resources (CCUI) projects of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ, implemented on behalf of and in close coordination with the Namibian Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT), and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Special gratitude goes the organisations and people who provide great volumes of satellite images and other data to the world for free, such as Google Earth, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), European Space Agency (ESA), Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Microsoft’s Bing aerial imagery. Many of their products are reproduced in this Atlas.
