Hange described his Master research: A feasibility study for the re-introduction of griraffe into the ProNamib Nature Reserve. Hange has worked as a researcher and ranger in the ProNamib and NamibRand Nature Reserves, gaining experience in protected area management. He is involved in biodiversity monitoring projects.
