This colourful book covers wild flowers of the southern Namib, which occur in the area of Lüderitz, Aus, Rosh Pinah, Oranjemund, i.e. Sperrgebiet and surroundings and the Namib sand sea, northwards to Sossusvlei. Focussing on the most commonly seen plant species, descriptions are organised according to main growth forms. These cover a selection of common shrubs, stem succulents, succulents, herbs, bulbs and grasses. The text is illustrated with 2 colour maps and line drawings. Well over 100 colour photographs illustrate the described plant species, providing overall appearance, flowers and close-ups.
